Interest in photography came as a result of collecting material to
use as a resource for her artwork. Friends and acquaintances began to request copies of
photographs and Martha could not keep up with producing paintings as quickly as she took
photographs. Pictures of wildlife have become a specialty and MJ relishes an opportunity
to sit quietly in remote settings waiting for the perfect shot. |
| Montgomerys work reflects her
scientific and logical thinking as she tends to paint in a realistic and tight style. She
particularly enjoys painting structures, landscapes, dogs and other creatures. She
continually collects material as she works in her garden and trains her obedience and
agility dogs. |

| MJ graduated from Auburn University with degrees in Animal and
Dairy Science and Ag Business and Economics. Montgomery currently resides in Huntsville
with her husband and 4 dogs. |
